An incredible hike overlooking the metropolis of Los Angeles, Runyon Canyon offers a trip out of the city in its own backyard.  Stretching over a few hundred acres of hills, this is a popular spot for a quick getaway for city folk & celebrities alike.
On a clear day, views atop let your eyes explore Catalina Island across the grand Pacific with a backdrop of the Hollywood Sign.  The Philosopher’s Bench awaits you once you reach the crest and is shared by many friendly day hikers.  The trail itself is somewhat trecherous and a steep summit challenges those in the best of shape.
